What is Land Remediation Relief (LRR)?

 

 

LRR is a generous corporation tax initiative available to property owners, investors and developers who incur
expenditure on the remediation of contaminated land, including derelict structures.

The types of remediation costs that are covered under LRR include:

  • The removal of contaminants such as radon and arsenic
  • The removal of asbestos from buildings
  • The extraction of buried structures
  • The treatment of harmful organisms and vegetation, such as Japanese Knotweed

You may also be able to claim relief against the cost of regeneration projects, developments and refurbishments at the following rates:

  • Owner occupier/Investor - 150%
  • Developer - 50%
