Role: R&D Tax Director
The Momentum Group has an exciting opportunity for a Chartered Tax Advisor to join a highly reputable leading R&D Tax Credit advisory firm. As a Chartered Tax Advisor, you will need to have extensive knowledge of R&D Tax Credits and have an in depth understanding of the legislation.
Key Duties & Responsibilities Include:
Develop, drive and motivate the R&D financial team
Preparation of R&D Reports and tax relief claims for submission to HMRC
Technical & financial report writing
Detailed industry and client research analysis
Extensive financial analysis and calculations in relation to identifying all true R&D costs and associate expenditure
Online submission to HMRC and subsequent monitoring of the claim progress
Monitor and track financial performance of Innovation and R&D financial team in line with the Company’s KPIs
Support the activities of the Innovation and R&D team and the wider development of the Company’s objectives
Deliver R&D tax services to a very high standard; communicate directly with clients and colleagues where appropriate to resolve queries and develop stronger relationships
Ensure the Company’s technical, ethical and compliance procedures are adhered to at all times
Assist in developing internal and external processes
Develop new processes to ensure clients receive the optimum benefit.
- Highly organised, methodical with attention to detail.
- Accountancy and/or tax experience with relevant professional qualifications.
- An interest or curiosity in understanding the technological or scientific challenges companies face when attempting to develop, design or manufacture a product, process or make changes to an existing one.
- A common-sense approach to achieving the best outcome for our client base.
